Bullwinkle's Italian Steakhouse is the right restaurant in the right place for a regional spin on Italian fare and a family-friendly comfort food night out. Family owned and operated, the owner circulates the dining room 7 days a weeks sharing great delight in ensuring the service and care of diners. The food is excellent. Exactly what you are looking for when craving Italian comfort food. The regional infusion of elk and bison meat applied to traditional Italian recipes provides for a uniquely Yellowstone experience. Hearty quality steak options available for the mountain men and women looking for a high protein delight. But, I would love to see a Tuscan-style family share steak added to the menu since the words Italian and Steakhouse are prominently displayed in the name. Maybe an elk or bison "Bistecca alla Yellowstone-tina?" I would return from the east coast to give it a go. The establishment also offers opportunity to belly-up to the bar, pick up adult beverages to-go in there Spirits shop, or hang out in the saloon side lounge. A little something for everyone. Highly recommended.

Perfect place to get a good meal. I had a salad, and the greens and vegetables were so fresh! My husband had a delicious burger. Most importantly the wait staff were friendly and welcoming. The owner even stopped by our table to see how our meal was. We had a great conversation. Make this a stop for sure when in West Yellowstone.

Chose this restaurant because they had a very good selection of Montana beers, but mostly I wanted to try their grilled Prime Rib. I started with the cheese curds, but the surprise was their Huckleberry dip! Unusual, but very good combination. As for the Prime Rib, I went with the Kings cut, which is 16 ounces, cooked a perfect medium rare. Taste was incredible, tenderness was spot on. Baked potato was good, could have used a bit more time to have been perfect, but I didn't come here for the baked potato! Service was great. Highly recommend you trying it

8 Adults from South Louisiana went to West Yellowstone with no expectations. We left there with the best experience. Bullwinkle's food, service, and atmosphere was great for all ages. Felt like home. I highly recommend everything on the menu. Attached Liquor store and bar also had some characters that made our stay even better.

It was the off season when we showed up with a group of 12 from our conference. They were short staffed but they must have called in others. Others from our conference also showed up. This may overwhelm some places but Bullwinkles handled it stride. All our food came out quickly and was delicious. I loved the Bison short ribs! Everyone loved all all the meals!

We went for lunch, order a cheese burger fries and cheese balls. The burger was nothing special, no seasoning. Very bland. The service was great! The cheese balls were served with a sweet sauce that resembles salad dressing made of Huckleberry. It's was very tasty. I took some home. Nice place for a quick lunch.

Absolutely amazing food and service! We had the Ribeye and BBQ pork platter to share among four of us (we’re Asian, so our portions are a bit smaller), and everything was cooked to perfection—so juicy and flavorful. A special shoutout to the lovely middle-aged waitress who has been working there for 6 years. Unfortunately, we didn’t catch her name, but she was incredibly kind and helpful. We had trouble calling our lodge since we didn’t have an international number, and she generously let us use the restaurant phone. Her warmth really made our visit extra memorable. We’re from Thailand, and if we’re ever back in the area, we’ll definitely return!
